Meet The Team
Avenue Dental
Dr Hina Khaliq
Being of Asian origin I’ve been instilled with lots of education, particularly from my dad. He always wanted his first born to be a doctor and I thought I did too. I did lots of work experience, I did voluntary working with the elderly care unit and I loved it!
Truthfully I did the work experience for it and I thought it’s not quite for me, I wanted something where I was helping patients that were healthy and would come back.
I actually did the work experience with the local dentist and he was lovely and I discovered that that was my vocation and went off to dental school and I’ve not looked back since. I love being a dentist!
I went to Guys and St. Thomas’s medical school and I qualified in the year 2000. Since then I’ve done lots and lots of courses, I’ve been to America and done some cosmetic courses.
I’ve done a further education course in Endodontics, which is root canal treatment, because it was something that was a bug bear for me. It is something that patients don’t like and it helped me to improve my skills in root canal treatments.

Maria Ciotlos
I began working at Avenue Dental in October 2012 as a Receptionist. I then completed my training and qualified as a dental nurse in July 2013.
One of the areas of my job that I love is working with children. Just being around our younger patients and helping them with their teeth is very rewarding.
I really enjoy being a dental nurse because every day there is something new to learn about your teeth.
In addition I thoroughly enjoy working on reception and helping our patients with everything they need to know.
